Cult Film Art Class

Next week I will be hosting a new Cult Film inspired art class based on one of my favouite movies, Thelma and Louise.

It will be at the new Reading Biscuit Factory cinema in Reading, as part of their ‘Keep It Cult’ series.

Inspired by film stills, I will guide you through creating an illustration of your favourite moments from this cult classic.

From desert landscapes to diners, motels and cop car chases, capture American filmic details, as well as the strong female characters and their evolving looks through the film.

Using inks, watercolour, collage and pastels Helen will encourage you to experiment with materials to capture the mood and energy of each scene.

All abilities welcome and all materials included, with a stunning soundtrack too.

I’ve also created a Pinterest Board of my favourite moments from the movie for inspiration in the lead up to the class.
