Live Portraits for Midrib Plants 1st Anniversary

Yesterday I was invited to create live portraits of customers with their lovely new plant purchases at Midrib Plants in Reading.

They were celebrating their 1st anniversary of their shop opening on Friar Street in Reading and they had organised a fun filled day to showcase their largest restock to date, with glasses of prossecco or a pop up plant themed jewellery shop by Jess Adams and local plant instagrammer Bryony In Plantland was in attendance too.

I joined for the afternoon and painted portraits of lots of customers with their favourite plants, each portrait taking just 10 minutes.

I used waterproof Tombow fineliner brush pens, and Winsor and Newton watercolours. Each portrait also had a beautiful branded Midrib sticker too.

Below are a few photos of the portraits I created on the day.

If you are interested in booking me as a live illustrator for your next branding or retail event, do get in touch. It’s a fantastic way to engage your customers with your products, as well as leading to lots of shareable social media content.
